Hello!

Responding to urgent community need, and enthusiasm shown during the 2018 National Harm Reduction Conference, this kickoff fundraising campaign marks the launch of Higher Ground Harm Reduction, a labor of love and national, fiscally-sponsored project of Strong City Baltimore.

Your donation will contribute to broader fundraising efforts that, will support the following in 2020 :
  • National Harm Reduction Community climate emergency experience and needs assessment, in English and Spanish;
  • The build-out of a website to connect, inform, and act on emergency preparedness, response, and recovery for harm reductionists and people who use drugs; and
  • Supporting preparedness and support for people who use drugs attending the 2020 National Harm Reduction Conference (HRC2020) in San Juan, Puerto Rico this October.

In light of last week's earthquakes in southern Puerto Rico, 25% of funds raised during this campaign will be donated to Migrant Health Center, Western Region, a network of clinics that also offer syringe services, buprenorphine, HIV/AIDS, primary, and mental health care (among other services). They have been an even more critical resource to surrounding communities during the emergencies presented during and since Hurricanes Irma and Maria.

This kickoff community fundraising campaign lasts four weeks, from
January 17 - February 14,
celebrating harm reduction, people who use drugs, and love.
